CABINET PAINTING

Refinishing the exterior of your existing cabinet boxes and doors can reinvigorate a tired outdated kitchen and can be a cost-effective way to achieve the visual effects of a remodel. The improved aesthetics cabinet refinishing creates can also increase your home’s value.
The look of custom painted cabinetry is in high demand and the most cost-effective way to refinish your cabinets is to paint them. Occasionally, we see homeowners who have attempted to paint their cabinets themselves. In most instances, the homeowner results are lackluster at best and do not provide the long-term durability necessary in todays busy kitchens.
Our Sherwin Williams paint program offers a selection of over 1,500 opaque colors to choose from. Our first step is prepping and priming your doors, drawer fronts, and cabinet frames. The paint coatings used to finish your doors and drawer fronts are pigmented basecoats that are catalyzed with an acid catalyst prior to application. After the doors are sprayed off-site in a controlled environment, we apply an additional coat of clear conversion varnish to provide a durable long-lasting finish.
In your home, we use a Sherwin Williams water-based urethane modified alkyd to paint the cabinet frames, edges, exposed cabinet sides, and toe kick. In addition to providing a finish that withstands the wear and tear in a kitchen, utilizing this finish in your home keeps the air clean by reducing VOC emissions. TRANSFORMING KITCHENS is committed to protecting you and the environment by responsibly sourcing and selecting the best products for your home.
